lyrics
Forked tongues lick our ears with hatespeak and it’s so insidious.
Old world languages from ol’ ancient ones who care not for THIS world for they are travelling on. To where “Angels” await and we’re the crazy ones? You don’t know what it feels like to be down there where dirt is dirt & battles are won.
Go do your good work elsewhere
Don’t speak to me about “sacred vows” while kissing the ground your priests walk on. Your faith is a haven. Your argument is a fearful barking dog, a mantra of the weak, an infantile want.
You don’t know what it feels like to be down here where wine is wine, not the blood of some old ghost.
Go do your work while we fight for a proud history, a slow and steady tip of the scales, a patient heart strong enough to carry the suffering to where we can tear it apart.

I bought the physical copy of this demo, #2/50, the night before All Tomorrow's Shoeys. I bought it again almost two years later when Jen was in a bind. In between those purchases I bought it on vinyl from Craigos. What I'm trying to say is that I've bought this fucking thing three times now and I'd probably buy it again, so you know it's good, aye! Convention & Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees. Read it. Make up your own mind. I have, and I think that the sentiments expressed in Punchable Face, pretty much mirror my own when it comes to refugees / asylum seekers, and how Abbott is a bad, bad man who has caused so much hurt and suffering. People should have the right to seek asylum, no matter their modes of transport. "Real Australians Say Welcome." James
Beautifully played and full of moving vocal performances, the Bay Area singer/songwriter's latest is a stellar work of art. Bandcamp Album of the Day Feb 3, 2023

I'd almost label this a concept album on current Australian politics. Should be included in curriculums around the country. Great lyrics and song-writing! The intro of Revolution Bummer is just stamping me to the ground! Tobias Zehe
